Getting Started
1. Attach & Prepare
- Install waste bags: Place the roll into the holder and feed the first bag through the slot.
- Clip to your dog: Attach the swivel hook securely to your dog’s collar or harness D-ring.
- Check the belt: Make sure the belt is not knotted, frayed or wrapped around anything.
2. Free Movement
- Hold Glow Trek by the handle only. Never grab the belt.
- Let the belt extend and retract naturally as your dog moves.
- When slack forms, the belt will automatically retract back into the housing.
3. Brake & Lock
- Brake: Press and hold the brake button with your thumb to slow or stop belt movement.
- Lock: While holding the brake, push the lock slider forward to fix the belt at that length.
- Release: Pull the lock slider back to return to free movement, then release the brake button.
Tip: Use the brake and lock to keep your dog closer in crowded areas, near traffic, or when passing other dogs.
4. Guiding Your Dog Back
- Gently press the brake and step backward to invite your dog toward you.
- Once your dog turns and starts coming back, relax the brake slightly so the belt can retract.
- Repeat as needed to keep your dog at a safe distance.
5. Using the LED Light
- Press the flashlight button to turn the LED on before dark or low-light walks.
- Point the light in front of you to illuminate your path and improve your visibility to others.
- Press again to switch off when you no longer need the light.

6. Charging the Flashlight
- Locate the USB-C charging port and open the protective cover.
- Connect the supplied USB-C cable to the port and plug the other end into any 5V USB power source.
- Indicator light red = charging, green = fully charged.

7. Care & Maintenance
- Wipe the housing and belt with a soft, damp cloth as needed.
- Do not machine-wash, soak or submerge the leash in water.
- Keep the belt free of sand, dirt and sharp edges that may cause wear.
- When not in use, fully retract the belt into the housing and store in a dry place.
Important Safety Warnings
- Never touch, grab or wrap the belt around your fingers, hands, arms, legs or body.
- Do not use with dogs that pull aggressively, lunge at people or traffic, or are stronger than the leash rating.
- Keep children away from the leash and do not allow them to operate it.
- Avoid using the leash when cycling, skating or in busy, high-speed environments.
- Inspect the belt, hook and housing regularly. If any part is frayed, cracked or damaged, discontinue use and replace the leash.
- This product is intended for walking dogs only and is not a tie-out device.
Limited Warranty
Glow Trek™ is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a limited period from date of purchase. Damage caused by chewing, misuse, impact or modification is not covered.
